Diploma in Medical Laboratory Technology (DMLT)is a 2-year diploma course pursued after the successful completion of the 10+2 level of education. This medical course involves advanced professional learning in: - Prevention, Diagnosis and Treatment of diseases in patients through clinical laboratory tests. DMLT course focuses on preventing, diagnosing and treating diseases with the help of clinical lab tests. DMLT Admission is based on merit in 10+2. Some colleges like AMU conduct entrance exams for DMLT admissions.

What is DMLT Course?
A domain under paramedical science, DMLT covers subjects about diagnosis and treatment through the use of laboratory equipment. The course also trains them to handle advanced lab equipment, perform accurate medical laboratory tests, and eventually work as Laboratory Technicians.

In order to take the DMLT course, you must qualify for it. Here is some of the important eligibility criteria that you need to have to join the DLMT Course:
- The applicant should have completed the 12th class from a recognized board (Some colleges also give admission after completion of the 10th class with a minimum of 50% in boards as the criteria)
- The applicant should be from a science background
- The applicant should have at least 50% marks in physics, chemistry and biology (science subjects) are required
- The applicant should have 45% marks are required for applicants from SC/ST categories
